LRMC recognized with 2026 Gold Honors for Commitment to Excellence and the WVHA HOSPAC Over the Top Award
Logan Regional Medical Center (LRMC) is proud to announce that it has been awarded the 2026 Gold Honors for Commitment to Excellence by the West Virginia Hospital Association (WVHA). In addition to this prestigious recognition, LRMC was also honored with the WVHA HOSPAC Over the Top Award in the category for hospitals with 61–275 beds.
According to the WVHA, the Commitment to Excellence Honors Program recognizes hospitals for their efforts to establish trust among providers, policymakers, and the public through professionalism, community-minded service, and commitment to excellence. The program aims to recognize successful quality improvement initiatives, encourage hospitals to take a leadership role in improving the health of West Virginians, and promote nationally accepted standards of care that enhance patient outcomes.
Gold Awards are presented to hospitals that have successfully implemented initiatives in critical operational and clinical areas through policy improvements, new programs, staff and patient education, dedicated staff resources, and the active measurement of patient outcomes. LRMC was recognized for its leadership and measurable success across eleven vital healthcare programs:
- Maternal Health Innovation (AIM Program)
- Antibiotic Stewardship
- Care Transitions
- Cybersecurity
- Hospital Emergency Management
- Influenza Vaccination
- Opioid Response Initiative
