LRMC CEO Justin Turner Named Among Becker’s “Community Hospital CEOs to Know” for 2026

LRMC CEO Justin Turner Named Among Becker’s “Community Hospital CEOs to Know” for 2026

Logan Regional Medical Center is proud to announce that Chief Executive Officer Justin Turner has been named to Becker’s Healthcare’s “Community Hospital CEOs to know” list for 2026, recognizing his leadership and contributions to Logan Regional Medical Center and his commitment to advancing healthcare in southern West Virginia.

Turner is in his second year as CEO of Logan Regional Medical Center, a 132-bed, Joint Commission Accredited acute care hospital where he began his healthcare career in 2012. During his first tenure at LRMC, he held roles in business developments, customer service, marketing, and physician recruitment before becoming an assistant administrator. After serving as chief operating officer at two other hospitals, he returned to Logan Regional Medical Center as CEO.

Today, Turner leads an organization of more than 600 employees and medical staff, with a focus on strengthening patient care, expanding access to services and building partnerships that benefit the communities that LRMC serves.

Under his leadership, the hospital launched a collaboration with nonprofit Coalfield Health to provide more affordable primary care, a separately accredited rural general surgery residency program, and a memorandum of understanding with Huntington, W.Va.-based Mountain Health Network to form a regional collaboration framework.

The hospital has also earned significant recognition for its quality and patient care, including a Leapfrog “A” Safety Grade in both the fall 2024 and spring 2026 cycles. Logan Reigonal was also named one of five West Virginia hospitals included on Forbes’ Inaugural list of Top Hospitals, and received ScionHealth’s 2025 Platinum Award, Chartis’ 2025 Performance Leadership Award for Patient Outcomes, and the West Virginia Hospital Association’s Gold Honor for Excellence in Patient Care.

“I am incredibly honored to be recognized by Becker’s Healthcare,” Turner said.
“But this recognition is really a reflection of the people of Logan Regional, every accomplishment we have achieved is because of the dedication of our staff who show up every day committed to taking care of our patients and community.”

“Logan Regional has a tremendous history, and as we celebrate 100 years of serving this community, our responsibility is to build on that legacy and make sure we are prepared to serve the next generation,” Turner added. “I am proud of what our team has accomplished, and I am even more excited about where we are going.”

Turner is also involved in the Logan community, serving on the boards of the Logan County Chamber of Commerce, Chief Logan Recreational Center, and the Logan County Economic Development Authority.

Becker’s Healthcare’s annual list recognizes chief executive officers who are leading community hospitals and health systems through an evolving healthcare landscape while remaining focused on quality care, innovation, growth and the needs of their communities.

As Logan Regional Medical Center celebrated its centennial year, the recognition serves as another milestone for an organization that has been caring for the people of southern West Virginia since 1926.
