Jason Studley, DHA, FACHE
Interim Chief Executive Officer
In June of 2025, Jason Studley, DHA, FACHE, was appointed Interim CEO. Jason came to Logan Regional from St. Francis - Emory Healthcare in Columbus, Georgia (part of the ScionHealth family of hospitals), where he has served as COO and briefly, interim CEO, since 2024. He brings nearly 20 years of healthcare executive experience to Logan Regional, including service as CEO of three hospitals, two of which were part of Community Health Systems.
Jason earned his Doctor of Philosophy in Health Administration (DHA) from A.T. Still University, his Master of Health Administration (MHA) from Austin Peay State University, and his Bachelor of Health Administration from Truman State University.
Jeanette Sexton
Chief Nursing Officer
Jeanette Sexton joined Logan Regional Medical Center in April 2019 as the Director of Women’s Services & Pediatrics, and was appointed Chief Nursing Officer in June 2020. Prior to joining LRMC, Sexton served as the Chief Nursing Officer at Pikeville (KY) Medical Center, where she also served in other nursing leadership positions throughout the hospital.
Sexton is currently pursuing a Masters in Nursing Administration from Aspen University (Denver, CO), where she also holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She received her Associate of Science in Nursing from the University of Pikeville (KY).
Sarah Pinson
Assistant Chief Nursing Officer
Sarah Pinson joined Logan Regional Medical Center as the Director of Surgical Services in January of 2015. Since that time, her leadership role has expanded to include all surgical services departments, as well as the Pain Clinic. Sarah has been a nurse for over 27 years and has experience in all areas of the hospital as well as acute care and long-term facilities.
Prior to joining Logan Regional Medical Center, Sarah served in several roles at Pikeville Medical Center including Staff Nurse, the Surgery Heart Coordinator, Shift Supervisor, and Director of Surgical Services. Sarah received her Associate of Science in Nursing from Pikeville College and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain School of Nursing. She is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Nursing at Aspen University. She is a member of the advisory board for the surgical technician program at Southern Community College, active with Relay for Life and Cancer Survivors Benefits.
John Simmerman
Chief Financial Officer
A seasoned, hands-on finance executive, John Simmerman, brings extensive experience in for-profit and non-profit hospitals, public accounting experience, as well as serving in a number of CFO roles, including Southhampton Memorial Hospital and Mayview Medical Center in Virginia.
John holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Norfolk State University, and a Master of Science in Accounting from Strayer University.
