Logan Regional Medical Center Appoints Jessica Porter, RN BSN as Emergency Department Director

Logan Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce Jessica Porter, RN BSN as the new nursing Director of the Emergency Department. In this new role, Jessica will be responsible for managing clinical nursing staff, administrative planning for emergency services, and the coordination of trauma and chest pain accreditations.
With over 20 years of experience in nursing, Jessica is committed to providing excellent patient care and enhancing the experience for her patients in a safe environment.

Jessica earned her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Marshall University in 2002 and immediately began her career in nursing after graduation. Initially she worked at CAMC General in the Emergency Department where she remained until joining Logan Regional Medical Center as an RN in the Intensive Care Unit in 2004.
Growing up in Logan, Jessica has a strong connection with and knowledge of Logan and surrounding counties. “I am so happy that I am stepping into a position that allows me to continue to serve my community,” Jessica said. “It’s truly an honor to be selected for this position and I am fortunate to work alongside a fantastic team that is dedicated to bringing such excellent care to the place we call home.”
Jessica lives with her husband Harold and they have two children, Addyson and Mason. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, camping, attending church, playing with her pets, and drinking coffee.
