Our Future Plans

The Emergency Department and Facility Renovation will bring a 2-year, $20+ million dollar project to the hospital which is expected to begin in the 1st quarter of 2005. This will add approximately 42,000 square feet of new construction on the hospital campus as well as renovation of approximately 8,000 square feet within the existing hospital.

The new Emergency Department will have 22 rooms and includes three trauma rooms, and state-of-the-art digital emergency services including a CAT scan, and X-Ray rooms, portable ultrasound and portable x-ray units are among many of the technological advances planned in the project. The second floor of the new building will house the Women's Center that will include three labor and delivery rooms, a staging area and a nine bed nursery with the latest in safety and LDR security features. PACS Technology, which allows doctors in the Emergency Department to make consultations anytime of the day or night with radiologists at other facilities across the country, is planned for installation in early 2005 and will be expanded to accommodate the new building.

The Cancer Center, located in Holden, WV, is scheduled to open within the 1st quarter of 2005. This will become a professional office complex where physicians will provide not only cancer services but other services as well. The construction on the exterior and interior areas of the Cancer Center will be completed by early 2005. This is approximately a 25,000 square foot facility.

We hope in the future to add a Cath Lab and expand clinic services and practices throughout the area.
